Every template purchased from Startup Template Library is licensed, not sold outright. This page explains what each license tier allows.
License tiers
| Tier | Who it’s for | What’s allowed |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | Individual founders, solo operators | Use in your own business only. No resale, no redistribution, no use on behalf of clients. |
| Client | Consultants, freelancers, agencies | Use the template to deliver work for a single named client per license. Cannot be resold as a standalone product. |
| Developer / Multi-use | Agencies and teams serving multiple clients | Use across unlimited client engagements within your organization. Cannot be resold, repackaged, or redistributed as your own template product. |
What’s never allowed on any tier
- Reselling or redistributing the raw template file itself
- Repackaging a template into a competing template product or store
- Sharing your download with people outside your license scope
Which license did I buy?
Your license tier is shown on your order receipt and download confirmation email. If you’re unsure which tier applies to your purchase, email us with your order number.
Upgrading your license
Need a higher tier after purchase (e.g. personal to client use)? Email support@startuptemplatelibrary.com and we’ll get you upgraded.
